AHH/ Quantum (the landowners) have confirmed today that 82% of the investors have agreed to accept an alternative bid for the site. They expect to exchange soon. This is a sporting bid but AHH/ Quantum will reveal no more. No residential bids were put forward. There will be no luxury flats built at Udney Park, but whether or not any space remains for community sport or whether there will be future access for the public to these fields is still to be revealed.

Teddington councillors and MP Munira Wilson have expressed their disappointment following last Friday's shock news that the widely supported community bid for Udney Park playing fields has been rejected.

A group which has been fighting against the development of Teddington playing fields for 7 years is "deeply disturbed" by news that an alternative bid for the site has been accepted.

Jonathan Dunn has confirmed that a seven-figure bid has been submitted for the purchase of Udney Park playing fields by the charity set up for this purpose – the Udney Park Community Playing Fields Foundation.
